People attend college or university for many different reasons (for example, new experiences, career preparation, increased knowledge). Why do you think people attend college or universiy? Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.

Essay: Fascination of University

In my country, most students in high school are fascinated by university and they are for a great many distinct whys. The eviroment of university attracts people. It offers the greatest settings for learning and study and the freest circumstance for creativity and innovation. Also oppotunities in varied fields are provided.

In most of the case, the universitiy own a library with far more books than most of the high schools's. It is sometimes said that the plentier books the library stores, the better education the university gives. Most universities make it a convenience that students can find what they want efficiently in the library, such as searching the database of the books by using the intramural network. Perhaps, one will focus on the "software", too. The professors in university can give a guide to students with a higher view point which helps them take a shortcut to understand the lessons.

Not only the impersonal conditions, but also the personal one make sence. The key point is the freedom. If you were a student in university, more time would be dominated by yourself and you could take more time to think about your own interest. Except for the free for allocating time, the free for thoght is the other essential things. The which The fact that creating and innovating often happens in university implies that thought won't be restricted.

Finally, close attention the socity pays to the university results in the increasing chances. For example, industry or company gives not a few oppotunies for students to practice; places for exchange students are supplied anually.

All in all, people can not withstand the fascination of university which is the heaven designed for the scholar.

Rater's Comments:

Great! There're many sparks that really attract me, but many gramma and spelling mistakes might prevent you from getting a high mark. Besides, be concise and be more logical and raise more evidence that are more directly in proving your idea.

Recension: Fascination of Universities

In my country, most students in high schools are fascinated by universities with a great many distinct whys. The seraphic environment, great facilities and faculties, a large pool of friends, all of these make the campus the kindom of creativity and innovation which provides oppotunities in various fields.

Usually, a universitiy own a library so wonderful that a high school student can hardly think of. It is sometimes said that the plentier books the library stores, the better education the university gives. Most make it a convenience that students can easily find what they want in the library and search the books by using the intramural and imtercampus network. Fancy catching the sight of the book which you have casted about for a long time shortly after clicking the keyboard, how wonderful it is! In terms of the "software", the professors in university can give a guide to students with a higher view point which helps them take a shortcut to success.

Not only the public facilities, but also every sudent can bring out their own value there. The key point is the freedom. If you were a student in a university, more time in hand and you could calm down to think about your own interest and life. In addition, the free for thoght really light up your mids. The fact that creating and innovating often happens in university implies that thought won't be restricted.

Finally, close attention the society pays to the university results in the increasing chances. For example, companys give series of oppotunies for students to practice at real posts; places for exchange students are supplied anually.

All in all, people can not withstand the fascination of university which is the heaven designed for the students.

[ectp] Why the Americans Are So Restless

In certain remote corners of the Old World you may sometimes stumble upon little places which seem to have been forgotten among the general tumult and which have stayed still while all around them moves. The inhabitants are mostly very ignorant and very poor; they take no part in affairs of government, and often governments oppress them. But yet they seem serene and often have a jovial disposition.

In America I have seen the freest and best educated of men in circumstances the happiest to be found in the world; yet it seemed to me that a cloud habitually hung on their brow, and they seemed serious and almost sad even in their pleasures. The chief reason for this is that the former do not give a moment's thought to the ills they endure, whereas the latter never stop thinking of the good things they have not got.

It is odd to watch with what feverish ardor the Americans pursue prosperity and how they are ever tormented by the shadowy suspicion that they may not have chosen the shortest route to get it. Americans cleave to the things of this world as if assured that they will never die, and yet are in such a rush to snatch any that come within their reach, as if expecting to stop living before they have relished them. They clutch everything but hold nothing fast, and so lose grip as they hurry after some new delight.

An American will build a house in which to pass his old age and sell it before the roof is on; he will plant a garden and rent it just as the trees are coming into bearing; he will clear a field and leave others to reap the harvest; he will take up a profession and leave it, settle in one place and soon go off elsewhere with his changing desires. If his private business allows him a moment's relaxation, he will plunge at once into the whirlpool of polities. Then, if at the end of a year crammed with work he has a litt1e spare leisure, his restless curiosity goes with him traveling up and down the vast territories of the United States. Thus he will travel five hundred miles in a few days as a distraction from his happiness.

Death steps in the end and stops him before he has grown tired of this futile pursuit of that complete felicity which always escapes him.

[ectp] Problem with Educational System

There are 39 universities and colleges offering degree courses in Geography, but I have never seen any good jobs for Geography graduates advertised. Or and I alone in suspecting that they will return to teach Geography to another set of students, who in turn will teach more Geography undergraduates? Only ten universities currently offer degree courses in Aeronautical Engineering, which perhaps is just as well, in view of the speed with which the aircraft industry has been dispensing with excess personnel. On the other hand, hospital casualty departments throughout the country are having to close down because of the lack of doctors. The reason? University medical schools can only find places for half of those who apply. It seems to me that time is ripe for the Department of Employment and the Department of Education to get together with the universities and produce a revised educational system that will make a more economic use of the wealth of talent, application and industry currently being wasted on diplomas and degrees that no one wants to know about.

[d] the Birds out of the Window

Birds sometimes fly close to me.
